Jazz Alley TV works with The History Channel



Maui filmmaker Ken. K Martinez Burgmaier of Jazz Alley TV – Maui Reflection Films are hired to produce the Reenactment scenes for the History Channel TV series “Digging for the Truth” aired nationwide.

The show airs every Monday night at 9:00 EST on the History Channel. The series premiered in January, 2005 and has since become the highest-rated series in the history of The History Channel.

Emmy Award winning Maui Filmmaker Director/Producer- Kenneth K. Martinez Burgmaier coordinated all the recreation scenes for the King Kamehameha scenes working directly with the director and producer from Washington DC. Martinez Burgmaier and his production ohana coordinated on collecting authentic wardrobes, weapons, Hawaiian actors, Cultural experts, location, set up and proper Hawaiian protocol. “It is an honor to be asked to assist on such a wonderful project focused on King Kamehameha and I wanted everything to be produced with aloha and to be Pono on all levels. This is a very sensitive subject and we all want it to be told correctly and with dignity for our great leader and unifier of Hawai’i ” says Martinez Burgmaier.

“It is always a great opportunity to share with the world information concerning our ancestors on who we are and where we come from as a people of Hawaii” say Uncle Boy Kanae.

Uncle Boy Kanae was on location overseeing the production along with Maui-Director of Photography Jeff (Finn) Wayman along with History Channel Director Patrick Green.

All the actors were Maui based and all shot at the Hui No eau visual arts center.

The Broadcast is scheduled for October 2007
